NiteFlirt Awards

NiteFlirt started doing awards recently for top earners. Gold = above 99th percentile, Silver = 96th-99th percentile, Bronze = 91st – 95th percentile. I was full-time on NiteFlirt for about 19.5 months, from July 15, 2010 through about the end of February 2012, and I earned all my awards during that time. Awards are based on semi-monthly periods, so two awards equals one month. Here are my awards. That means: I was in the top 9% for 15.5 months (79% of the time, during which I moved twice) I was in the top 4% for 11.5 months (58% of the time) I was in the top 1% for 4.5 months (23% of the time) The “Rising Star” award means that I was one of the [read more...]

1K Visitors! (Again. Sort of.)

I just hit 1,000 unique visitors in a month! (Again. Sort of.) My Inner Data Analyst was so happy to see a lovely round number that she is getting her own blog post today. It’s been a while since she got to come out and play. Here’s what made her happy: Google Analytics showed 1,000 unique visitors in a month time span. Confession time: I checked in the middle of the day – it was serendipitous to hit the exact number when I did, but that wasn’t the final number in the day. The final number for that month-span was 1,010, but I was so happy to see the exact 1,000 that I screen-captured it. Now Data Girl gets to have her nerdy moments in [read more...]

Thoughts on Rates

I did not follow one of the best pieces of advice I ever got when I was first starting out: you’re new, so you can afford to play with your rates, so keep raising them by $0.10/min every two weeks or so until you find your sweet spot. Instead, after a month at $0.99/min ($0.55/min to me) to build feedback, I jumped to $1.49/min ($0.90/min to me). It was a smashing success. The 63% raise more than compensated for the callers who quit me. I felt justified at having bypassed the slow, painful rate creep. Perhaps counter-intuitively, I lost many of my very short callers (under-10-minute average), fewer people insisted that I send them free minutes before they’d try me out, and I found more [read more...]

Memory and Notes and Meds

I wrote about how much I remembered vs how much I wrote in this blog post (Memory and Notes), but when I went on my horse tranquilizers mid-May (2.5 months already?), I wondered what the effect would be on my memory. The other day I had a delightful call from a gent who has been keeping up with my blog (awwww, thank you!), and left me this feedback – I blame the typos on the ludicrously intense session he had just had with me: “Im so glad your feeling better and I’m so so glad I got to talk to you. I would beg for you anytime if the day. Thank you again” (side note: I shamelessly stole the idea to incorporate feedback into blog [read more...]

I have a listing in the “Role Play” category that I started specifically to market to the ASFR / android / robot girl / technosexual / fembot / gynoid crowd. (Dear That Crowd: please settle on a name for yourselves… /grin ) And today, that listing is ranked higher as a Top Pick than my listing in the “Sex” category when you look in “Find Women“, which is the approximate equivalent of searching for “All Women”. Or, if you’re a geek, it’s a ‘find . -print’ from the root. Top Picks is the default search order, and it is heavily weighted by activity in the past two weeks: calls, repeat calls, new callers, pay-to-views, click-through rate, and feedback. My main listing has almost always been [read more...]

In general, I try to live by the concept, “Don’t ask the question if you don’t want to know the answer.” But today, ignoring the nagging warning in the back of my mind, I answered my lingering question, “What percentage of my income has been from very short calls (less than 5 minutes)?” I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised by a high number like 10% — some number I wouldn’t want to lose. And I expected that pleasant surprise to fuel my motivation to give my best for new callers who seem to be on a short-call pace. The answer, unfortunately, was “about 2%”. Rats. That answer does not motivate me. And being less motivated for new, fast callers makes it more likely for [read more...]

If you click the “data” link to the left of this blog post, you’ll see my observations (complaints? poutings? whinings?) about the unpredictability in the life of a phone sex operator (at least in the life of a independent phone sex contractor using the NiteFlirt platform – it’s possible that it is more predictable if you are working as an employee for a phone sex company where you don’t get to create your profile from your own pictures). As of  Monday, 11/15/2010, I have been a phone sex operator for four months. Yay me! I am now pleased to report that I have found exactly one trend: (drum roll please….) Nobody calls from about 6-10 on Friday nights.  Oh wait, I’m not pleased by that [read more...]

This week, I have had a listing on the front page of Find Women (the listing from the subcategory of Women Home Alone – Sex)(depending on the time of day, who else is logged in, and who else is not not busy). That means I was in the top 20 available women according to the super-secret ranking rating I explain in this blog post. (Inner Editor: That’s a lot of links away from this post. Do you not want people to read this? Inner Third Person Omniscient In Charge of Exposition: Bite me, Ed. It’s necessary for reader comprehension. Inner Slut: I’ll totally bite you. Inner Third Person Omniscient In Charge of Exposition: I know. I’m omniscient, remember?) *Ahem* Sorry about that. Moving on… This [read more...]
