I’m over a month behind on my follow-up notes, because I was already behind when I started the process of moving, and once I got moved and rested enough, I chose to finish up some even-more-overdue picture sets. Sorry they’re so late. I’ll do my best to make them worth the wait this round. For new clients, let me explain my follow-up notes: they contain at least one large picture of me, and sometimes more. Often I send an additional extra-naughty picture for people who have left me official feedback. Hello Video World!

As soon as I got the camera running, I made a little “hello world” video so I could always remember how much I’ve learned along the way. Sure enough, there were about a dozen things I’d love to fix: I forgot to say “hello world” first, the glare from the computer screen on my glasses, how I was positioned on the bed, I forgot to thank the person who bought me the camera (thank you slave!)… But I can forgive myself because I’m soooooo excited! And because I’d rather have the honest first shot than muck with it. Even though I’ve been busier today than I feared (what with it being Super Bowl Sunday and all), I did still manage to get a very exciting thing done – I created Gallery Galiana! http://galianachance.com/gallery I wanted a simpler web-based way to deliver groups of pictures for sale, especially now that I’m getting a new camera (any day now!). I can easily enter captions, protect albums which are pay-to-view, and have the user experience be a little more feature-rich than I am willing to build on my own. On Friday, I realized that my hosting provide had free image galleries available as auto-installer scripts, so all I had to do was compare features, install, configure, and I was good to go! New Feedback Page

I have published a new page with some of my favorite feedback comments: http://galianachance.com/blog/feedback/ So far it has very few comments. I kept getting interrupted last night / early this morning by having awesome calls (nice problem to have!), so I didn’t get far. But I wanted to go ahead and publish it so I could knock something off my to-do list, because I have too many to-do items rattling around in my brain again. My “plan” is to add comments sporadically, whenever I need the insecurity-eliminating boost of confidence I get by sorting through nice things people have said about me.
